Envisioned as an important commercial hub in the area, the 5 ha project offers high-rise residences and a retail mall in a central location surrounded by an international harbour and other amenities.
The wayfinding strategy had to intuitively guide visitors around the development while also drawing footfall from the neighbouring attractions.
Due to its location near the tip of the Malaysian peninsular, the wayfinding concept was inspired by a lighthouse and its role as a beacon, guiding all in its vicinity.
The use of triangles within the design mimics the sails on the myriad of yachts docked in the three marinas that surround Southern Marina.
