ChinaPlace comprises three parcels owned by Far East Organization, Fraser Commerical trust and Great Eastern Life Assurance. It is located on the fringes of Singapore's Chinatown and CBD and includes a mix of conserved century-old shophouses and modern office towers.
The name "ChinaPlace" was coined withthe aim of revitalizing the precinct. A Chinese window lattice pattern inspired the brandmark. It captures being "a window of timeless vibrancy" and references the area's history.
To enhance the area, an environmental wayfinding system was developed, consisting of building markers, directional and circulation signs, alongside locally commissioned murals.
